This is a truly special Grand Cru trip, designed to give you the ultimate in culinary, wine and sightseeing experiences in hard-to-access Burgundy. The elegant walled city of Beaune is our home for 4 nights as we explore the Côtes de Beaune and Côte de Nuits areas, visiting at least 4-5 Burgundy domains. Beaune is the capital of Burgundy wines and justly famous for its world-renowned producers and the surrounding wine villages that comprise the Burgundy “terroir". The region also has exquisite cheeses, restaurants and amazing historical sites, all situated in Beaune and the fairytale-like villages that surround it.

Wendy’s extensive network of top winemakers, chefs, local gourmet producers and cultural dignitaries are ready to welcome her travelers as Bliss Insiders — all wine tastings on this trip are private and all menus are custom, by top chefs in the region. 

We will travel by private car and driver throughout this serenely beautiful region to taste a wide variety of Burgundy’s best wines on the “Route des Grand Crus” ranging from the breathtaking 12th century castle of Clos de Vougeot, to the hyper-local “monopoles" from tiny domains. Bliss Travels’ philosophy is to offer a range of tasting experiences — from that famous “bucket list wine” you always wanted to try, to that small producer you’ve never heard (but wished you had)! This is a truly special Grand Cru trip, designed to give you the ultimate in culinary, wine and sightseeing experiences in hard-to-access Burgundy. The elegant walled city of Beaune is our home for 4 days as we explore the Côtes de Beaune and Côte de Nuits areas, visiting at least 4-5 Burgundy domains. Beaune is the capital of Burgundy wines and justly famous for its world-renowned producers and the surrounding wine villages that comprise the Burgundy “terroir". The region also has exquisite cheeses, restaurants and amazing historical sites, all situated in Beaune and the fairytale-like villages that surround it.

Wendy’s extensive network of top winemakers, chefs, local gourmet producers and cultural dignitaries are ready to welcome her travelers as Bliss Insiders — all wine tastings on this trip are private and all menus are custom, by top chefs in the region. 

We will travel by private car and driver throughout this serenely beautiful region to taste a wide variety of Burgundy’s best wines on the “Route des Grand Crus” ranging from the breathtaking 12th century castle of Clos de Vougeot, to the hyper-local “monopoles" from tiny domains. Bliss Travels’ philosophy is to offer a range of tasting experiences — from that famous “bucket list wine” you always wanted to try, to that small producer you’ve never heard (but wished you had)!     There are two trip rates: Nonrefundable and partially refundable. Partially refundable does not replace insurance and has very specific rules. Please see below.

    August 2 to 11, 2024 starts at $8,750 per person/double room and goes to $9,900 per person for suites. Nonrefundable rate.

    Partially refundable rate is $250 higher per person per destination

    Train tickets not included, but will be purchased for clients by us.

    Option to book either France OR Spain on a space available basis. Below are nonrefundable rates:

    France 5 night trip during Olympics, rates start at: $5,600 per person

    Spain 4 night trip rates start at: $3,500 per person, plus transfer in from airport

    Partially refundable rates are $250 higher per person per destination.

    Payment deadlines for this trip:

    Initial deposit for full trip is $1500 (nonrefundable rate) per person.

    Initial deposit for full trip is $2000 (partially refundable rate) per person.

    Second payment is due received by January 1, 2024: 50% of total due (excluding trains).

    Final payment due received by May 1, 2024.

    Partially refundable rate allows the traveler to cancel and receive a refund of all but the first (initial $2000) deposit, for any reason, as long as the cancellation and request for refund is made by email and received by Bliss Travels no later than 9am Eastern, US, January 30, 2024. Bliss Travels will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours and that is your proof of cancellation. You must have proof of receipt of email by Bliss Travels to effect a cancellation. Travelers should expect to initiate their request 24-48 hours before the deadline to comply with the above terms.

    This is not insurance. No requests for refunds can be accepted or granted if sent or received later than 9am, Eastern US, on Jan 30 2024, for any reason. Please buy insurance for any trip cancellation needs you might have (health, closures, family issues…). We cannot provide refunds, even for very good reasons, if they are received after the deadlines above. Please see the terms and conditions in our standard contracts.

    Price with this special partially refundable policy is $250 per person higher than nonrefundable rates quoted here, and requires a $1,500 nonrefundable deposit. This rate allows you to cancel for any reason and have your final payment refunded if cancellation is made 80 days in advance of your departure from the US. This offer applies only to the partially refundable rate and this rate requires an initial deposit of $1500 per person. The initial $1500 deposit is nonrefundable. All other payments must be made on time and in full but are refundable subject to the above terms. Late payment or late requests void this offer. Refunds do not apply to “add on days” or to train tickets or special private transfers. This is not a substitute for travel insurance.   • By paying the deposit all travelers agree to the terms and conditions in our standard contract release. All travelers are required to sign this contract release and return via email with deposit. Clients who are traveling together can sign jointly on one copy.

    All prices are subject to change until deposit and confirmation are received for each specific traveler.

    Partially refundable rate for 2024

    These rates allow each client to cancel their trip for a refund of all but your initial deposit as long as cancellation is made in writing and received by Bliss Travels 75 days prior to that travelers’ departure from the US. The refundable amount is whatever the traveler has paid towards the above trip price other than the $1500 per person deposit. Excluded from this refund offer are any add on days, transportation or tickets, banking or on-line banking fees and any special transfers that were arranged just for you.

    This offer applies only to the partially refundable rate and this rate requires an initial deposit of $1,500 per person. The regular deposit of $1,000 does not apply to this offer.

    All other payments need to made on time and in full to be refundable.

    Late payments void this offer. Email requests for refund must be acknowledged to be valid.
